Welcome to Raincity Modular 420 Friendly Housing Sechelt

A home for every person – It’s that simple. And that complex.

“A home for every person” is a lofty goal. We believe it is 100% achievable and benefits all of us. And we are confident that if we all work together, we can achieve this goal sooner than we ever thought possible.

For more than three decades RainCity Housing has put government funds and generous donor dollars to good use to create, implement, and manage housing and support programs that sustain relationships, strengthen communities and make change for people experiencing homelessness and mental health, trauma and substance use issues, throughout BC’s lower mainland. We invite you to be a part of the change.

RainCity Housing

RainCity Housing Society’s LEED Gold Certified shelter and transitional housing facility, located at 3030 Gordon Avenue in Coquitlam, is a purpose-built 4-storey mid-rise development for the vulnerable homeless and contains 30 short-stay shelter beds and 30 self-contained transitional units.

The shelter area has 30 single beds in private rooms (20 for men and 10 for women) including a bed, desk, sink and shared washroom facilities. Residents get three meals a day. The transitional suites, intended for a maximum stay of two years, are small bachelor apartments with their own bathroom, single bed, window, and a full kitchen for residents to cook their own meals.

Funded by BC Housing and designed to help tackle homelessness in the Tri-Cities community, the Gordon facility works with up to 60 people at a time and can also provide an additional 30 dorm-style bunks for temporary shelter during extreme weather conditions.

RainCity Housing at 3030 Gordon also provides support services to help shelter residents transition to a drug-free lifestyle. Residents have access to medication, community health and wellness support from Fraser Health, and regular meetings with staff for counseling, life skills development and connections to services.
Other amenities at this modern facility include; a tranquil garden space, a barbecue area, storage for carts, lounges and learning spaces for counselling and skill development programs, as well as a commercial-grade kitchen, a dining area and laundry facilities.
