Welcome to Sir Sam’s Inn 420 Friendly Resort near Toronto.

Sir Sam’s Inn and Spa was the first to announce it is cannabis-friendly. Similar to inn guests who enjoy craft beer and wine, the inn wants people to know they welcome everyone to the inn, no matter their recreation and relaxation activities.

Nestled in the scenic Haliburton Highlands with nature, deep woods, rolling hills, pristine lakes, and a view of Eagle Lake, you will feel impressed and calmed. Through the seasons, Sir Sam’s Inn & Spa offers a tranquil escape for couples and friends to relax and reconnect.

Perched on the edge of Eagle Lake, our luxury adult resort and spa is a 4-season retreat featuring cozy accommodations and abundant amenities. The charming lakeside accommodations or private cottages offer thoughtful amenities including walkout balconies, relaxing spa tubs and cozy wood-burning fireplaces.

With top notch details like amazing food and exceptional dining, beautiful scenery, and luxurious hospitality, the historic boutique hotel also has an amazing water spa on site and both an indoor and an outdoor pool.

There are lots of area activities nearby, year-round, to enjoy with friends and family while at Sir Sam’s from hiking (including a hiking festival!) and glassblowing workshops to dog sledding, snowshoeing and downhill skiing in the winter.

The historic estate of Sir Samuel Hughes.

Sir Samuel Hughes was the decorated government minister who led Canada’s Military through the first World War. He built the 10-bedroom stone and timber mansion along Eagle Lake’s shoreline. His design uniquely combined his desire for civilized comforts with his respect for nature’s own bold architecture. That mutual respect continues today. While we’ve added 16 lakeside accommodations and the WaterSpa, a conference wing and many other amenities, nature remains the guest of honor.

Q What are your cannabis smoking policies?

Just bring-your-own cannabis and/or alcohol and to please stay on our property when doing so.

Smoking/vaping of any kind is permitted in accordance with municipal regulations, be sure to respect the local habitat and potential fire risks at all times. There is NO SMOKING anywhere inside Sir Sam’s Main Inn, any of the guest rooms, balconies or within 9 metres of entranceways, patios or buildings. A $250 room recovery fee will be charged upon evidence of smoking, without exception. We thank-you in advance for your co-operation.
